I’ve been working on panning stationary objects in my photography, and I’ve been largely unsuccessful, but I liked this photo — in part because the concept worked, but also because it corresponds to my life right now: moving too quickly to focus on most things, but keeping my eyes on certain set parts of life that keep me in balance. And the poem plays off that and comes from my tendency to get stressed about all the things that need to get done, especially while life is in transition.
